House of Jorge Luis Borges, “La Manzana Mítica”
The house of the most famous argentine writers, Jorge Luis Borges, was located at Serrano 2147. Nowadays, the original numeration no longer exists and the street, at that same block, takes his name. A plaque commemorates the place in which Borges inspired to write his Fundación mítica de Buenos Aires.

The ancient house of Evaristo Carriego, poor quarter poet and great expert of the tango world, the malevaje and the “lower places” porteños, is nowadays a library which takes his name. There the Poetry House functions from Mondays to Fridays from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m. |

An original museum where there are belongings from one of the most famous women of Argentina, Eva Perón. In the Evita Museum, inaugurated in 2002, there are dresses, photographs and personal souvenirs of Eva. In the same place, you can find the Eva Perón National Institute of Historical Investigations. |
